We've done the hard bit and found sites where there may be clusters of ancient trees in your region - so we want you to go and hunt for trees! In each area below we have given a brief location and for those of you that are technologically minded an Ordnance Survey grid reference. Central/Birmingham:

Around Coombe Pool on the Coventry Road out between Binley and Brinklow, to the east of Coventry, SP40437942.

Tilehill Wood on the western side of Coventry, SP26757866.

Also Warwick Road in the centre of Kenilworth, SP29257094.

Sutton Coldfield, around the golf club, SP10609539.

Shropshire:

A488, Lea Cross village churchyard, SJ42380827.

Also further south west down the A488, woodland near Pontesbury, SJ40700558.

Staffordshire:

Great swathes of Woodland surrounding the A513 between Milford and Colwich, SK01002021.

Adjacent to western edge of A515 around Hoar Cross and Newborough, SK13092196.

Warwickshire:

South of Stoneleigh on the west of the Stoneleigh Road, SP33147240.

Worcestershire:

Just north of Overbury, at the end of Pigeon Lane, SO95633861.

Due west of Elmley Castle is a large wooded area, SO97124089.
