Cedar of Lebanon from Shropshire

27 April 2007

This magnificent Cedar of Lebanon is the most recent 'Tree of the Moment' for all the obvious reasons. Like us I am sure you will be wowed by its size and stature.

Whilst it is located on private land, it is visible for miles across the Shropshire countryside dominating the landscape. It is ironic then that there are stories of this tree losing a branch after being swiped by an RAF Hercules hitting its top during a night time exercise. Luckily for all concerned, the only damage was a lost branch!

Visit its record page to discover more of its distinguishing features.
