Championing

Tree Wardens champion local trees as a part of the hunt

Tree Wardens championing ancient trees in their neighbour hood is ultimately what the Tree Council and the Ancient Tree Hunt would like to see happening across the UK. Imagine the power of 7000 Tree Wardens caring for their local ancient and veteran trees!

Securing the future of our ancient trees can be achieved in many way as outlined in your hand book. The Woodland Trust policy team have gone to great lengths to ensure that you have the information you need to help to secure the future of ancient and veteran trees in your neighbourhood, at your finger tips.

Don't forget that additional support can be got from the Woods Under Threat action group ran by Woodland Trust.

Landowners

It is important that we stay on good terms with land owners. They have been the custodians of ancient trees for generations. Try and help them understand the value of the trees that they own.

Free management guidelines written by the Woodland Trust in association with the Ancient Tree Forum can be down loaded by them, to help to look after their trees.

Help our land owners look after their trees for future generations.
