Scouts Association

The Scouts Association have signed up to encouraging 500,000 young people to hunt for old, fat trees as part of their programme of activities for Scouts. From badges gained to local publicity of mega finds recorded on YouTube - scouting for trees is a major focus for Scouts across the UK.

Scout leaders will be making use of downloadable programmes that sit within Programmes Online - the web based facility for planning activities with Scouts. A walks brief, how to measure and record guidelines, what to hunt for and where as well as other ideas for activities linking into poetry and art will get Scouts hunting for fat, old trees.
