Sustrans is the UK's leading sustainable transport charity, which works on practical project to encourage people to trvale in way which benefit their health and the environmentwith their aim being to help as many of us as possible to get around by foot, public transport on bicycle.

Did you know that 75% of the UK population lives within two miles of a route on the National Cycle Network? It also carries over 110 million cycle journies a year.

Sustrans' Change Your World project is now in its second year and they are asking that during the first week of July we swap a car journey and go by foot, on bike or public transport. If everyone made one less car journey a week car traffic would reduce by 10%. Which in turn will lead to less congestion, less pollution and less CO2 emissions.

You can even look on our interactive map to see your nearest Sustrans route, maybe you'll come across an ancient tree!
