Lake District National Park

The Lake District National Park Authority are working with the Ancient Tree Hunt to engage, train and support volunteers in recording Ancient Trees across LDNPA land.

They are promoting the Ancient tree Hunt project in the Lake District area and are helping by contributing records of lowland trees and records from other surveys done in the area covered by the LDNPA.

So far the Lake District National Park have recruited 27 volunteer recorders to survey 80 parishes that sit within their boundaries. A number of local tree experts are also supporting their Ancient Tree Hunt.
