Ancient Tree Hotspot Events 2015

In September 2013 we analysed all the tree data on the Ancient Tree Inventory to identify clusters of special trees where they were growing close together. In 2015 we want to visit some of these special treescapes to meet potential stakeholders and find out who will work with us to help secure their future. Would you like to join us at one of these events?

The Ancient Tree hotspots are landscapes rich in ancient, veteran and notable trees. We want to use events to talk with potential stakeholders about greater protection of the trees, restoration of the historic tree landscape and establishment of new open crowned trees to become the ancients of the future.

In 2015 we will are planning events:

Late March in the Usk Valley in the Brecon Beacons National Park

Early May near Glen Finglas, Brig o'Turk, Trossachs National Park

Mid June in the Welshpool/ Powys Castle area

Early July in West Sussex near Midhurst

Late September in the Wye Valley
