Dedham Vale AONB launches its Ancient Tree Hunt with a little help...

The ATH & Dedham AONB launch a partnership to find ancient trees in Suffolk!

The Ancient Tree hunt is best in show!

Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley Project launched its partnership with the Ancient Tree Hunt at the Hadleigh Show, near Ipswich on May 17th - and won first prize for its stand at the show!

Both Norfolk and Suffolk in particular are two areas where we want to get more trees recorded and the launch of our partnership will hopefully get some records added in the region.

Tim Yeo, MP for South Suffolk was in attendance: "As a long-standing environmentalist who has campaigned on behalf of many local initiatives, I am pleased to be supporting this search for ancient trees which are so much part of the Dedham Vale landscape."

An Ancient Tree Walk, explaining how to look out for and measure trees, and visiting some examples, will be held in the Stour Valley. For more information please contact the Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley Project on 01473 264263.
